Ibiza First Timer? Don't Make These Mistakes
After 15 summers on the island, here's everything I wish I knew before my first trip. Where to stay, what to skip, and how to survive.
Ibiza First Timer? Don't Make These Mistakes
After 15 summers on the White Isle, I've watched hundreds of tourists ruin their Ibiza trip. Learn from their mistakes.
Mistake #1: Staying in San Antonio
San An is where 18-year-olds go to get wasted on cheap drinks. For the REAL Ibiza experience, stay in:
- Ibiza Town (Eivissa): Best for nightlife, restaurants, and Dalt Vila
- Playa d'en Bossa: Beach clubs and Ushuaïa/Hï
- Santa Eulalia: Chill vibes, families, hippie markets
Mistake #2: Only Doing Clubs
The clubs are legendary, but Ibiza is so much more:
- Sunset at Café del Mar or Kumharas
- Day trip to Formentera
- Es Vedrà sunset hike
- Las Dalias hippie market (Saturdays)
- Hidden beach coves (Cala Comte, Cala Salada)
The Must-Do Clubs
- Hï Ibiza: Best production value, Fisher Tuesdays are legendary
- DC-10: Circoloco Mondays. Raw, sweaty, pure techno.
- Ushuaïa: Pool party with world-class DJs. Go early.
- Amnesia: The foam party. Yes, it's still iconic.
- Pacha: Classic Ibiza. Cherry logo everything.
Money-Saving Tips
- Club tickets are cheaper online/in advance
- Pre-game at your hotel—drinks are €15+ inside
- Free guest lists exist for many nights (follow promoters on IG)
- Rent a scooter, not a car
What to Budget
Ibiza isn't cheap. For a week:
- Accommodation: €100-300/night
- Club entries: €40-80/night
- Food: €50-100/day
- Drinks: €€€€€
See you on the terrace. 🎉
